Study:  Perceptions of Women with Disabilities and Childbirth Educators about the Educational Needs of Women with Disabilities related to Pregnancy, Labor and Delivery

Researchers at Villanova University are interested in learning about the educational needs of women with physical disabilities, including spinal cord injury and other spinal disorders, related to pregnancy, labor and delivery. We are specifically interested in learning about women's experiences with childbirth education classes (attendance vs. non-attendance, what information women wanted and received or not received from the classes, and women's unanswered questions about pregnancy, labor and delivery). A phone interview will be conducted with women who are interested and a gift card will be provided to women who participate in the interview.  To be eligible, women must:

- Be at least 18 years of age

- Have SCI or other spinal disorder with some mobility limitation

- Be English speaking

- Have delivered a baby since SCI or since diagnosed with spinal disorder and within the last 10 years
